Web2.0所帶來的是將許多資訊系統由單機或需要個人主機進行安裝之軟體變成網路化，例如Google doc。此外，亦將許多需要特殊軟體或是技能才能進行編輯及製作變成網路化，與即時發佈。讓使用者不需要在安裝特殊軟體或需要某些技能，及可以讓自己的創意與作品吉時與方便的呈現。所以秀敏認為Web2.o所帶來的是網路化，與共享概念。但是Web2.0並未能為網路使用者進行個人化、智慧化之內容呈現，達到AI，因此有Web3.0的發展，Web3.0是一種追求電腦網路”擬人”化的發展，期待網路系統可以達到智慧化、適性化、個人化的運作，而這是科技發展的趨勢與必要性，因此對於Web3.0的發展保持樂觀的態度，期待可以成真。

Web 2.0 the simple definition, for many people, is to make a reference to a group of technologies which have become deeply associated with the term: blogs, wikis, podcasts, RSS feeds etc., which facilitate a more socially connected Web where everyone is able to add to and edit the information space. The other definition is rather more complicated and pulls in economics, technology and new ideas about the connected society. To some, though, it is simply a time to invest in technology again

There are a number of Web-based services and applications that demonstrate the foundations of the Web 2.0 concept, and they are already being used to a certain extent in education. These are not really technologies as such, but services (or user processes) built using the building blocks of the technologies and open standards that underpin the Internet and the Web. These include blogs, wikis, multimedia sharing services, content syndication, podcasting and content tagging services.

Mr Yuen,

I’ve just discovered your blog and find it very interesting, more specifically your short message about Web 3.0 (ref. Are You Ready for Web 3.0?)… I was wondering if the illustrated picture of the evolution (Web 1.0, 2.0, etc.) is your own creation or if it is the creation of someone else ? I would be interested in more details about this subject…

This aside, I would confess that I prefer to put the focus on the “meta tool” era when I talk about Web 2.0 with internal and external customers, i.e. the fact that tool developers now tends to build tools for user to make their tools (ref. MS SharePoint)… This phenomena really makes the development cycle very short and more satisfying for users…

Another point of view of the same Web 2.0/3.0 evolution…
