Free Plagiarism Tools for Teachers

With the emergence of the digital revolution, students can easily plagiarize and cheat. Information can be found on nearly any topic, and students can copy and paste the information into their papers and assignments using Internet search engines, DVD-based reference works, online journals, Web-based news, article databases, and other electronic sources. Plagiarism is a greater temptation with the increasing number of online term-paper mills. Students can now buy term papers online. Also, they can search research papers online and copy and paste blocks of text right into their word processors. Online plagiarism has increased due to access to papers online. However, teachers can easily detect plagiarism because papers are submitted electronically in most online courses. Teachers can run student submitted papers through plagiarism-detecting Web sites When a document is uploaded, the document’s “fingerprint” is cross-referenced against the local database containing hundreds of thousands of papers.

    我相信現在要完成任何報告,小至看勵志電影寫看完感想,或者是要收集有關歷史事件的來由趨勢,都可以透過網路關鍵字找到一大長串的回應與部落格分享,學生只要選擇複製貼上就可以完成一篇心得報告和歷史作業;當然老師會期待學生能有創新意見表達個人看法,不過這是有點難度,當然以我的作法是只要二篇內容相似度過高,我選擇請他們重新繳交作業。這是考驗老師在閱讀作業時的記憶及專注力是否達到最高水平;現在老師難為。
    不過如果學生可以透過複製貼上這二項功能將個人意見做些陳述,只期待學生本身對於被複製的文章內容能有自己的看法;多少可以影響他們的感覺。在所分享的簡報中看到得至少有十種以上的檢查抄襲文章的比例,也看到Google docs dective的網站好像也可以針對中文版的文章做檢測,我想這對要從事論文寫作的各位研究者而言,可能也是一種警惕,可以引用他人的文章內容,但必須要將原作者的訊息表達清楚,也不可以又過多的參考資料,必須要有新意才能說服別人接受你論文的等級

  2. 為了急就章,畢業論文可謂名副其實的“東拼西湊”,這樣的消息時有耳聞,聽聞到的消息指出,即將畢業的學生自從定了題目後,他就開始到處蒐羅與他確定的主題相關的論文,最後再把這些“相關材料”按自己擬好的大綱串在一起,一篇論文就輕鬆搞定了。
    聽說大陸地區學校有防論文抄襲的檢測系統。在大陸地區目前很多都引進了論文檢測系統。 “論文代檢測”只是逐字逐句對文章進行檢查,只能對付抄襲時一字不漏的“低級抄襲者”,這種只看字的重復率的對比檢測,根本檢測不出論文思想、觀點和主題等方面的抄襲,所以檢測出的結果是不準的。
    根據報導所示,目前學生抄襲得最多的就是文章的思想、觀點、主題論據和論證方法等,如果是對學生有所了解的老師,那麼對於學生抄襲出來的作品,老師一眼就能看出那是否屬於學生的水準範圍。

    由於網際網路的發達,現今的學生從以前的抄書,變成了現在的GOOGLE一下,複製再貼上,還好我教的是國小的學生,會在網路上GOOGLE再抄的已經是天才了,更多的會選擇放棄。但由於科技發達,反抄襲的網站也順勢而生,前幾年有聽過一套論文偵測系統,只要將論文全文輸入,便能檢測出這篇論文的抄襲程度。當然,所謂的論文,也是抄襲人家的結論,但不同的是,論文是抄襲別人研究結論來證明自己的理論,當文章有著自己嘔心瀝血的血肉部分,這便是引用,而非抄襲。但現在的學生都是文抄公,天下文章一大抄,也不自己去消化應用,有了這些反抄襲的網站,也能讓學生更加警惕,學習,並非抄抄寫寫,更重要的是有無認真了解。
